Chemical PeelsWe offer two types of facial peels to improve the appearance of wrinkles, pigmentation, and to promote smoother skin. A tricloro acetic acid or TCA peel can be performed on the face and neck to eliminate fine wrinkles. Deeper wrinkles are treated with Phenol peels, which can only be used on the face. Both types of peels are associated with some discomfort, but this can be controlled with pain medication. Treated areas become dark in color and eventually peel and flake. It is important to follow post procedure care instructions carefully and to protect the treated areas from the sun.
