This procedure is performed to eliminate excess, hanging skin from the back of the arms. The sagging skin is frequently a result of weight loss, but it can also develop over time due to the effects of gravity. In either case, an incision is made along the inside of the upper arm and the excess skin is removed. The brachioplasty procedure requires approximately 2 ½ hours to perform.
